How it works

When you call the number on this site, our partner network routes your call to a participating local provider. Which provider answers depends on who is available. You can talk with them directly about your situation, their availability and their pricing. The call is free, and you're never obligated to hire anyone.

How we're paid

Our partner network pays us when a qualifying call is connected. You never pay us anything, and we don't add a fee to your bill. Each provider sets its own prices.

How we write our guides

Our guides are meant to help you take the right first steps after a leak or flood. We rely on public sources such as the National Weather Service, local utilities and government agencies, and we cite them whenever we share local facts. We use AI tools to help with research and drafting, and a person reviews and fact-checks every page before it goes live. If you spot a mistake, please email us and we'll fix it.
